Proteneo is not medical advice. It is a personal tracking tool — not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. It is not a substitute for a doctor, pharmacist, or any clinician, and has not been reviewed or approved by the FDA or any regulator. Always consult a healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Proteneo is a notebook, not an advisor.
- It does not tell you what to take, how much, or when.
- It does not recommend, prescribe, diagnose, monitor, or clinically interpret your records.
- It can count and arrange entries, classify them against a saved schedule, and show charts, trends, and time-window comparisons. Those are descriptive displays, not conclusions about cause, safety, significance, or what you should do.
- It does not know your medical history and does not evaluate whether anything you enter or import is safe or correct.
- Reminders, schedules, and numbers you see are not instructions from Proteneo or MultiFactor Solutions.
Clinic Link can display clinician-written instructions from one Clinic Plan text file you deliberately choose or paste. Proteneo does not author or authenticate those instructions, verify the clinic or patient, or prove that the plan is medically correct. The checksum detects accidental changes and exact duplicates only. You review every proposed local change and decide what, if anything, to adopt. Only adopted facts are applied to your active records. If you save any change, the complete exact plan and its provenance evidence, including unselected content, remain encrypted on your device until an in-app clear or portable restore completes. Uninstall is platform-controlled; its exact effect on that storage is not promised. Import does not record a dose, activate a reminder, complete a prescription check, or create monitoring.
You are the only person making decisions. Anything you enter or adopt is something you decided on your own or with your own clinician.
People use Proteneo to track many kinds of things — for example, hormone therapies, weight-management medications, peptides, supplements, fitness routines, nutrition, and body weight, among others. These are just examples of what someone might track. They are not what Proteneo is "for."
For anything prescribed to you: decisions about starting, stopping, dosing, or changing a therapy must be made with the licensed prescriber who knows your history and labs. Do not change your dose, timing, schedule, or anything else based on what Proteneo shows.
Exercise: if you haven't exercised recently, are over 40, are pregnant, are recovering from injury, or have a cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, or metabolic condition, talk to your physician before starting a new program. Stop and seek medical attention if you experience chest pain, dizziness, severe shortness of breath, or injury.
Nutrition & weight: macro targets, calorie estimates, rate calculations, trend lines, and temporal comparisons are descriptive or formula-derived displays. They may be wrong for your body and aren't validated against clinical standards. Don't rely on them in place of professional guidance — especially with a history of disordered eating, diabetes, or kidney/liver disease.
We don't validate the app's calculations. Proteneo is software, and software has bugs. If a number surprises you, check it yourself or with a clinician.
In an emergency: stop using Proteneo and call your local emergency number immediately (911 in the US). Proteneo does not detect emergencies or summon help.
Your data: information you enter or adopt stays in encrypted storage on your device. After any saved Clinic Plan change, the complete exact source and its provenance evidence, including unselected content, are also retained there; only adopted facts are applied to active records. The routine app path sends no health payload through MFS infrastructure. A separate email or attachment you deliberately send to support/privacy is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. An incoming Clinic Plan is plaintext in your custody, and selection can create a temporary plaintext app-cache working copy. PDF and HTML reports are plaintext outside the encrypted record store and remain in app-owned Past exports until deleted or pruned. Each generation uses a collision-safe unique same-day filename and does not replace an existing retained report while materializing the new one. Exact output readback occurs before sharing and source cleanup. Proteneo attempts to keep the 10 most recent report files, but cleanup, migration, or filesystem failures can leave more. A materialization failure never overwrites or deletes an earlier retained report. Cap pruning can remove calculated oldest excess reports before a later failure; unverified pruning or cleanup is reported. A report may include selected adopted plan facts and provenance.
A plaintext JSON backup is a portable subset, not every app or device record. It includes portable Clinic Plan source, receipt, mapping, and adoption history, but excludes per-install legal/setup state, device-bound state, stored report files, and store/RevenueCat records. A settings-, filter-, view-, navigation-, or display-only file cannot authorize record replacement. A successfully completed restore fully replaces that portable subset rather than merging it and leaves retained reports and other files in place. Clear all data first performs the bounded Proteneo-owned temporary-file and app-retained report cleanup. If a cleanup step reports a problem, app records remain in place; a file removed before that failure remains removed. Only after those cleanup steps report success does the app start its journaled clear of the clearable Proteneo record. Files or recipient copies stored elsewhere remain outside that action. Uninstall is controlled by the platform and does not run Proteneo's in-app cleanup. Its exact effect on app storage is not promised. Importing, adopting, preparing or sharing reports, backing up, restoring, and deleting are your choices, and we do not verify the medical accuracy of the information.
