By using Proteneo, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Medical Disclaimer. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
What Proteneo is: a personal wellness-tracking tool. You record information about yourself — your own treatment items and administration records, completed lab draws, treatment supply ledgers, schedules, reminder records, workouts, nutrition, weight, and wellness check-ins. Clinic Link also lets you deliberately choose or paste one clinician-authored Clinic Plan text file and review every proposed local change. Only facts you explicitly adopt are applied to your active records. If you save any change, Proteneo separately retains the complete exact plan, including content you did not adopt, and its provenance evidence in encrypted local storage.
Clinic Link does not connect to a clinic, EHR, lab, pharmacy, portal, or MFS server. Its checksum detects accidental changes and exact duplicates; it does not authenticate the clinic or patient, prove medical correctness, provide confidentiality, or prove delivery/review. Import never records a dose, activates a reminder, completes a prescription check, or creates monitoring.
Proteneo does not give medical advice, make treatment decisions, recommend, prescribe, diagnose, monitor, or clinically interpret your records. It applies to your active records only what you enter or explicitly adopt. It can perform descriptive arithmetic, classify entries against a saved schedule, and display charts, trends, and comparisons between time windows. Those displays describe the stored inputs; they do not determine cause, safety, significance, or what you should do. You are the only actor. See the Medical Disclaimer.
Eligibility: you must be at least 18 years old to use Proteneo, and the information you enter or import must be your own (unless you have authorization to record someone else's).
License: we grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on your own devices, for your own personal wellness tracking.
Accounts: there is no Proteneo account and nothing to sign into. There is no Proteneo/MFS-managed health-data server or sync today. Android cloud Auto Backup is disabled. Some Android 12+ manufacturer device-to-device flows may still move app files despite that setting; Proteneo does not support or promise that as recovery. iOS backup or device transfer may separately preserve app data according to platform behavior and settings, but it is not a promised recovery path. If we add optional cloud sync later, we'll update these Terms first. The current cloud proposal does not include Clinic Plan source, receipts, mappings, or adopted clinic-origin evidence.
Acceptable use: don't use the app unlawfully, don't try to access our systems or other users' data, don't reverse-engineer the app, and don't enter or import another person's information without their authorization.
Reminder records: the first release stores reminder records but does not request notification permission, schedule OS alerts, obtain a push token, or operate a notification backend.
Subscription: Proteneo offers optional auto-renewing monthly and annual subscriptions for paid capabilities, billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Core treatment items, administration records, completed lab draws, supply ledgers, Clinic Link, calendars, reminder records, patient reports, and portable backup / restore remain available without a subscription. In this candidate, purchase initiation and the Paywall are disabled; Restore in Settings is the only live Premium acquisition action. If purchase initiation is later enabled, the purchase surface and your App Store / Google Play account will show the applicable regional price and eligibility before purchase. The monthly plan has no trial. Eligible users may receive a 14-day trial on the annual plan only; it automatically converts to a paid annual subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.
As applicable to platform/configuration, RevenueCat may process the anonymous App User ID; purchase, subscription, product, entitlement, transaction-history, and status information; Apple receipt file or Google purchase token; last-seen/activity timing; device type/OS; locale/currency; and network/IP metadata for billing functionality and its provider analytics/dashboard. The identified candidate seam passes no patient-record payload and uses no custom RevenueCat login or customer-attribute API; no outbound RevenueCat analytics integration is identified in the current candidate/configuration. Exact console configuration must be reverified before release.
Your subscription renews automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. We may change subscription prices from time to time; where we do, we will give you advance notice through the App Store or Google Play and, where required, obtain your consent before the new price applies, and you may cancel before renewing at the new price. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store / Google Play account settings. Settings provides the applicable store-management action when it is available. Refund eligibility and requests are governed by the applicable store's policies and by law. If your subscription lapses we do not delete anything: your entries stay on your device and the Free core remains available. Only capabilities identified in the app as paid become unavailable until you resubscribe or restore a purchase. Deleting the app does NOT cancel your subscription.
Your data: you control wellness data you enter and Clinic Plan data you deliberately import. If you save any proposed change, the complete exact plan source, including unselected content, plus receipts, mappings, revisions, and evidence stay in encrypted local storage; only adopted facts are applied to your active records. None travels through MFS infrastructure through the routine app path. A separate email or attachment you deliberately send to support/privacy is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
You may prepare and share a PDF or interactive HTML report or create a portable JSON backup. Reports are plaintext outside the encrypted record store and remain in app-owned document storage until deleted or pruned. Each generation uses a collision-safe unique same-day filename and does not replace an existing retained report while materializing the new one. Exact output readback occurs before sharing and source cleanup. Proteneo attempts to keep the 10 most recent report files, but cleanup, migration, or filesystem failures can leave more. A materialization failure never overwrites or deletes an earlier retained report. Cap pruning can remove calculated oldest excess reports before a later failure; unverified pruning or cleanup is reported. A report may include selected adopted plan facts and provenance.
The plaintext JSON backup is a portable subset, not every app or device record. It includes portable local records and preferences, including portable Clinic Plan history. It excludes per-install legal/setup state, device-bound cache/connection and recovery state, stored report files, and store/RevenueCat records. A successfully completed restore fully replaces that portable record subset rather than merging it. Restore does not delete retained Past exports, source files, backups, or recipient copies. Clear all data first performs the bounded Proteneo-owned temporary-file and app-retained report cleanup. If a cleanup step reports a problem, app records remain in place; a file removed before that failure remains removed. Only after those cleanup steps report success does the app start its journaled clear of the clearable Proteneo record. Files or copies stored elsewhere remain outside that action. Uninstall is controlled by the platform and does not run Proteneo's in-app cleanup. Its exact effect on app storage is not promised. Choose carefully where you keep and share files.
No warranty: the app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Descriptive arithmetic, schedule classifications, macro targets, calorie estimates, adherence rates, trends, and time-window comparisons may contain errors. Formula-derived values are estimates and are not clinical interpretations.
Limitation of liability: to the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the past 12 months or $100.
Termination: you can stop using the app anytime. Clear all data uses the fail-closed cleanup and journaled record-clear sequence described above while preserving per-install/setup preferences described in the Privacy Policy. Uninstall is platform controlled and does not run that in-app cleanup. Clear cannot reach user-held originals or recipient copies stored outside the app. Uninstall's exact effect on app or platform-managed storage is not promised. Neither action cancels or deletes store or RevenueCat billing records, and there is no Proteneo account to delete.
Governing law: Texas, USA, with venue in Travis County. Before filing a claim, please contact us and try to resolve it informally for at least 30 days.
Changes: we may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app with a new effective date.
